BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating after a mobile home fire in Ascension Parish left one person dead on Friday, Oct. 25. According to the fire marshal's office, the Geismar Fire Department responded to a reported residential fire in the 12000 block of Highway 73 around 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Officials stated when firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered an elderly male victim inside. The identity of the elderly man has not been released.
