ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - After a sunny start to our Friday, clouds have worked into the region from the west as a weak system slides on through. Without much in the way of lift and moisture, rain chances into Friday evening will remain limited. If you do hit a shower, it won't last long and should remain light. Temperatures will tumble into the 50s and upper 40s into morning. The fall foliage is peaking this weekend. Take advantage! This is likely going to be the final weekend we use the word "peak" to describe our foliage conditions, so take advantage while you still can. Partly cloudy skies will exist through most of the day with a random rain shower or two showing up, particularly into the afternoon. Same deal, they won't last long and won't be particularly impactful. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will be in the 50s. Temperatures Sunday morning could fall back into frost/freeze territory. Rochester has yet to officially fall to freezing this season. It's possible Saturday night/Sunday morning could be our first real shot. Those with tender plants still enjoying the ride, plan accordingly. pic.twitter.com/7IVddsAslc— Eric Snitil (@EricSnitilWx) October 25, 2024 A ridge of high pressure will build into next week, allowing warmth to once again surge back into the picture. That should allow highs to spike into the 70s Wednesday and Halloween Thursday. The main feature to watch for Halloween will be the timing of a cold front with a line of rain and rumbles later in the day/night. There could be implications on trick-or-treaters late Thursday if that front speeds up. 8-Day Forecast
