MONROE COUNTY, N.Y. (WROC) — A new location for a popular restaurant in Rochester has a new opening date: The Toast Factory! The restaurant first opened on Culver Road last year. Owner of The Toast factory, Keith Brown II, got his start hosting backyard cookouts with his signature French toast. Here at CityGate got the foot traffic from Costco, the lunch crowd from Monroe Hospital, and if Topgolf comes to town, that traffic as well. As for the menu, Brown is keeping his old menu With his classic French toast, breakfast sammies, and the special blend of coffees, but adding in breakfast empanadas and sweet pastries too! A note if you go, Brown is serving up just mocktails for now. "Happy to bring these old vibes back," he said. "I'm happy to be back, happy to get Back in the trenches, and get back to work, and serve the public, and now I can feel comfortable saying we're opening instead of saying we're not there yet... So a lot of stress off my shoulders." The grand opening is November 2, complete with a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting. The toast factory is also hosting a hiring event Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
