FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A new bookstore is going to celebrate its grand opening in its new location in Downtown Fresno after being a pop-up store. The new bookstore is named Judging by the Cover. Officials with Judging by the Cover announced their grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on a social media post. The event will be on Nov. 1, from noon until 6 p.m. The ribbon-cutting will be at 12:30 p.m. According to Judging by the Cover, they went from "popping up" all over the town from Fashion Fair Mall's Lush to Lithop's first-ever bookstore to now owning a brick-and-mortar location in Downtown Fresno. Officials with the store say they regularly carry books from local authors whose books are available through wholesale. The store is operated by two book publishing industry veterans with over 10 years of experience. The opening celebration will include raffle prizes, gift cards and freebies.
