If Kevin and Stephanie Ness collect their $15 million asking price for the home on Sunset Blvd., it will be the second time they set a record for selling a Boulder home. In January 2023, the couple sold the neighboring home on Sunset Blvd. for $13 million, which set a record for Boulder County. The couple purchased both homes on Sunset Boulevard using the Kevin D. Ness Revocable Trust and the Stephanie J. Ness Revocable Trust. Kevin Ness is the former CEO of Inscripta, a life science technology company. The home for sale at Sunset Blvd. is a 7,200-square-foot, two-story mansion with a walk-out lower level. It has five bedrooms, six baths and a three-car garage. Marybeth Emerson with The Agency-Boulder represents the Nesses. The home, which offers Flatiron views, is a short walk to downtown Boulder’s Pearl Street and sits on almost one half-acre. It was designed by Surround Architecture and built by Harrington Stanko. The home features 12-foot plank white oak floors and floor-to-ceiling windows. High-tech features include a Savant home automation system, Miele appliances, a Jura coffee bar, and an elevator.
