FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Shambaugh Elementary School is opening its doors Friday for a nostalgia trip to the 1990s. The school opened a time capsule that had been sealed three decades ago -- 1994, to be exact. Among the contents were dated electronics and old labels from recognizable brands. "It just gives them a little bit more perspective on just the way life changes, and hopefully helps encourage them a little bit too, to set some goals for themselves and start to think about 30 years from now, what they want to do with their lives and what they'd like to become," said Neil Rupp, the school's principal. The school is open to the public Friday from 6-7:30 p.m. to check out the contents of the capsule. Shambaugh Elementary is located at 5320 Rebecca St. in northeast Fort Wayne.
