EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - A nonprofit organization, FloWar Life Essentials, will host an event this weekend to announce the launch of its full-ride scholarship program in partnership with the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). The event will be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at UTEP's Memorial Gym, 500 W. University Ave. “FloWar Life Essential’s mission is to empower young adults with the necessary skills, knowledge, and mindset to achieve personal and professional success. Our goal is to provide comprehensive education and guidance that transcends traditional academic learning, equipping individuals from all backgrounds with the tools they need to thrive in today's ever-changing world,” read the news release sent by the organization. The scholarship will "provide deserving individuals currently at UTEP or those aspiring to join the UTEP community, the financial support necessary to open doors and empower them to reach their academic goals." The organization said the scholarship is made possible through community partnerships with local businesses like Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Marco's Pizza. “At FloWar Life Essentials, our mission is to invest in the future of our beautiful city by empowering its young leaders. By nurturing motivated, community-oriented students, we are planting the seeds for El Paso’s continued growth and success. The scholarship program reflects our deep-rooted commitment not only to individual student achievement but also to the economic and social development of El Paso as a whole," read the news release.
