BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Three people, including two teenage girls, were arrested Wednesday in connection with an alleged early morning assault of a police officer in an apartment building near Masten Park, the Buffalo Police Department announced. According to officials, a group of juveniles were allegedly fighting in an apartment building on the 1100 block of Jefferson Avenue around midnight. Several individuals allegedly struck a female officer multiple times as she tried to break up the fight. The officer was injured as a result and taken to ECMC, where she has since been released.
