Five adults, five children displaced by fire in Genesee Moselle neighborhood

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- The Red Cross is assisting ten people after a fire broke out in an occupied building on Barthel Street Friday, officials announced.
The Buffalo Fire Department responded to the 1½ story building at 64 Barthel St. Friday afternoon. Officials said a fire was found on the first floor and was contained.
During a secondary search of the building, a woman in her 30s was found and evacuated outside. Officials said she was given CPR by an AMR crew before being transported to ECMC. She is currently listed in critical condition.
Five adults and five children were displaced as a result of the fire, officials said.
The fire caused around $80,000 in damage to the building and $40,000 in the damage to the contents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
