WILLISTON, ND (KXNET) — Two Williston men are facing felony charges in connection with a series of property and vehicle thefts around the city in late September. According to court affidavits, the whole episode began with a report September 30 of a Ford F-350 pickup truck stolen from Brigston Oilfield Services. Officers went to the business to review surveillance videos which captured the incident. According to police, the video showed a person driving a six-wheel ATV onto the business property, parked the vehicle and took off in the pickup. It was later determined the ATV was also stolen from Octane Outdoors. An inspection of the ATV revealed a collection of tools stolen from H & H Electric. Later in the day, the F-350 pickup was found abandoned on Front Street in Williston. Reviewing security videos from the area, authorities spotted the F-350 arriving, followed by a white Chevy Silverado truck. According to police, the driver of the F-350 transferred a white plastic sack from the truck to the Silverado and both men drove off. Further investigation revealed additional videos at a different location that appeared to show the men transferring apparently stolen tools and other items from the F-350 to the Silverado. The two men are facing felony charges. One is charged with two counts of Theft involving $1,000 - $10,000 (Class C), while the other man faces one count of Theft involving $10,000 - $50,000 (Class B). Close Thanks for signing up!
