A New Jersey woman flying out of JFK is suing JetBlue because her ice cream sandwich was served “dangerously cold.” Karla Quinonez charges in the lawsuit reviewed by The Independent that the “frozen solid” Chomp treat she was served on her August trip to Paris caused her to chip one of her front teeth. According to Quinonez’s complaint, the flight crew failed to warn her about the “dangerously cold temperature and solid state” of the confection she was about to consume. The injury allegedly forced the plaintiff to have her tooth extracted upon landing and required further care when she got home. Quinonez blames JetBlue’s negligence for her “pain, suffering and mental anguish.” The dollar amount she’s seeking as compensation for her hardship is unclear. JetBlue didn’t comment on The Independent’s report. The Queens-headquartered airline was sued in June by a passenger burned by “scalding” hot tea during a bumpy flight from Florida to Connecticut, according to ABC News. That lawsuit sought $1.5 million in damages.
