Dates have been set for Lake Metroparks Farmpark’s annual Country Lights Drive-thru, giving families a chance to again enjoy an illuminated winter wonderland from the warmth and comfort of their own vehicle. The event runs Nov. 30, and Dec. 1, 6–8, 13–15, 20–22 and 27–29 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., rain or shine, and ticket-holders can travel through Farmpark’s winding roadways and immerse themselves in twinkling lights and dazzling decorations, according to a news release. They also can find beloved holiday classics along the way plus enjoy new scenes and displays, too. “More than 300,000 lights will be set up along a route about a mile long,” Farmpark Events Manager Andy McGovern stated in the release. “It’s all themed so you’ll see traditional characters like gingerbread men, elves and friends from the North Pole, but we’ll also have some modern twists too. It’s really a lot of fun.” Tickets are $27.50 per carload and must be purchased in advance and are only available online, the release stated. Ticket sales begin Oct. 28 at 8 a.m. for Lake County residents and Farmpark members. Open registration begins Oct. 29 at 8 a.m. A limit of three tickets per household and per membership applies, according to the release. Optional wooden toy kits, $5 each, are available for purchase when ordering carload tickets. Kits are picked up at the event and taken home to be assembled; paint and glue are not included. Lake Metroparks Farmpark is located at 8800 Euclid Chardon Road in Kirtland.
