ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A 16-year-old boy was shot, and a bullet grazed a 39-year-old woman after an altercation broke out in a Severn neighborhood on Thursday, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department (AAOCPD). The police department said that around 6:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 8200 block of Tomlinson Court. Upon arrival, they found the 16-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers gave medical attention to the boy until responders took him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. As of Friday afternoon, he remains in critical but stable condition. Responders took her to the hospital, where she was treated and released. Witnesses told police that there was an altercation in the neighborhood between multiple people before the shooting took place. The investigation is ongoing.
