The girl was walking to school around 7 a.m. near West 125th Avenue and Delaware Street when a silver vehicle approached her and the man driving threatened her with a gun and told her to get in, according to the Westminster Police Department.
The student refused and the man grabbed her backpack and took off, police officials said in a news release Friday. She made it to school safely and reported the incident.
A description of the man and vehicle was not immediately available and police are still investigating, department officials said.
