SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A pedestrian was killed Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The crash occurred at around 6:52 a.m. in the area of Geary Boulevard and Divisadero Street. San Francisco Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and paramedics transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. (Photo: KRON4) The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, SFPD said. Police do not believe alcohol or drugs are a factor in the fatal collision. Motorists are advised to avoid the area as investigators remain at the scene. On Tuesday morning, a 70-year-old man was killed by a large construction vehicle in the area of Parnassus Avenue and Stanyan Street.
