LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers added Alex Vesia, Brusdar Graterol and Miguel Rojas to their World Series roster. But they also dropped Evan Phillips from the roster. Phillips has said he was experiencing a “dead arm” feeling during the National League Championship Series. After pitching one inning in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series, Phillips was expected to go back out for a second inning but did not. Also left off the roster were right-hander Edgardo Henriquez and outfielder Kevin Kiermaier. Phillips was 5-1 with a 3.62 ERA and 18 saves during the regular season then pitched 6⅔ scoreless innings in the NL Division Series against the San Diego Padres and NLCS against the New York Mets. Vesia led the Dodgers with 67 relief appearances during the regular season, posting a 1.76 ERA, then pitched three scoreless innings in the NLDS before suffering a rib injury and missing the NLCS. Graterol made just seven appearances during the regular season due to a recurring shoulder problem and a hamstring injury. He has not pitched in a game since Sept. 24. Rojas has been playing with a strained adductor muscle for weeks and expects to have surgery to address the injury during the offseason. He aggravated it during the NLDS and was left off the roster for the NLCS against the Mets. But Rojas participated in the Dodgers’ full workout Wednesday and was cleared to return.
