Five candidates hoping to be Richmond’s next mayor will be on the ballot in November, with familiar names and political outsiders eyeing to lead the city. They are vying to succeed Mayor Levar Stoney, who can’t run for a third consecutive term under city rules and is running for Virginia governor. In Richmond, the winner of the mayoral race must take at least five of the city’s nine districts.
