HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Henrico County Police Division will host a free event on Sunday for Richmond metro-area residents to make sure their child's car or booster seat is properly installed. The Child Safety Seat Check-up event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Ourisman Toyota of Richmond, located at 9319 W. Broad St. in Henrico. According to police, Child Passenger Safety Technicians will ensure car and booster seats are properly installed in vehicles at the event. Those planning to attend the event are asked to bring the following: Seats with accompanying manuals The child or children who will be using the seats, if possible Any caregivers who transport the children in the seats so they can be educated on proper use The event is free, however registration to attend is strongly encouraged.
