PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department has announced the passing of the department’s former Chief. Former Chief John Tomlinson passed away on October 22 at the age of 93, according to the Pawtucket Police Department. Tomlinson served in the Pawtucket Police Department for 38 years and retired as Chief in 1993. His daughter Officer Doreen Tomlinson died in the line of duty in 1984.
