SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- The South Dakota Department of Public Safety (DPS) has identified 94-year-old Robert Carl Roberts as the Wagner man who died in a two vehicle crash west of Wagner on Monday. Seat belt use is still under investigation for Roberts, who was the passenger in a 2021 Subaru Outback. Alcohol a factor in fatal I-90 crash near Salem DPS says that both the Outback and a Peterbilt semi-truck were driving west on SD Highway 46 when the Outback pulled over and attempted a U-turn, colliding with the semi. The driver of the Outback received serious, non-life-threatening injuries, and the semi-driver was uninjured. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
