TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. — Police are investigating after an individual crashed into several trees and died on Friday, according to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities were dispatched at 1:42 a.m. on Friday on a report of a crash in the 1400 block E of 725 N. Upon arrival, deputies found a single vehicle crash. The driver, who was the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicated that a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle was traveling on County Road 725 N. The vehicle ran off the roadway as it entered the 1700-block and struck several trees. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and received fatal injures.
