INDIANAPOLIS -- In one week, Indianapolis will become Taylor Swift central. Lucas Oil Stadium will host the last three United States shows on Swift's legendary "The Eras Tour" from Nov. 1-3. The three sold-out shows will start at 7 p.m. each night. However, Indianapolis as a whole, or "Swift City," as Visit Indy calls it, will be impacted by the tour. More than 200,000 people are expected to come to Central Indiana for the shows. Officials said that 89% of tickets for the three shows were purchased from individuals outside of the Indianapolis area and 81% from individuals outside the state.   Here are some of the things you need to know going into next weekend. Events According to a news release from Visit Indy, more than 50 events are scheduled for that weekend, in addition to Swift's shows, including events at SPARK on the Circle, the Bicentennial Unity Plaza and the Lugar Plaza. Food trucks will also be open for individuals downtown from 12-8 p.m. on Nov. 1-3 on Maryland Street, adjacent to the Hudnut Commons and in the southwest quadrant of Monument Circle. While individuals are downtown, they will be able to see a 34-story decal of Swift on the side of the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. More than 30 street signs were also renamed in honor of the three shows, and dino-sized friendship bracelets are being featured at the Indianapolis Children's Museum. Merchandise For individuals attending the show, as well as those who did not get tickets, all will have the opportunity to grab merchandise from the Indianapolis stops on "The Eras Tour." According to the release, Hall I of the Indiana Convention Center will be open starting Wednesday to sell merchandise. On Wednesday and Thursday, the center, located at 100 S Capitol Ave, will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Nov. 1-2, the center will be open from 12-8 p.m. Merchandise will also be available at Lucas Oil Stadium during the three concerts for attendees to purchase. Rides to and from Lucas Oil Stadium Individuals using rideshare services for the three concerts have a specific place where they can be picked up after the show. The release said that a rideshare pickup zone will be on South Street between Missouri Street and West Street. This zone will operate from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday through after the show on Sunday. For parents picking up their children, officials said there will be a parking lot near Delaware and South Streets. This lot will be active from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday through after the show on Sunday. The drop-off zone for the three shows will be on McCarty Street, south of Lucas Oil Stadium. Public safety and tourism impact The release said the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department canceled scheduled days off for officers and adjusted staffing throughout the city. Downtown Indy Inc. is also expected to mobilize its clean team, as well as its safety ambassador team. Those teams will work extended hours and be assigned to "high-visibility areas." Taylor Swift Officials expect the economic impact on the city to be "a nine-figure number." Hotels in the area are "virtually sold out" and short-term rental bookings are up 207% compared to last year. Officials with the Indianapolis International Airport also said they increased flight seat capacity and added round-trip flights for the weekend.
