Getty Images From free dishes and drinks to taking a chunk off the bill, grabbing that “I Voted” sticker can really pay off You’ve got a civic duty to do: vote. With so many things on the ballot this election season, it can feel like homework — you’re doing a lot more than picking a president and Texas senator. So, several local businesses want to reward you for taking the time to get out the vote. Early voting is open in Texas until November 1, 2024, and election day is November 5, 2024. As noted by Eater, giving freebies to voters is technically illegal even if it is nonpartisan, and businesses are able to get around it by offering these freebies not in exchange for seeing your ballot but for wearing an “I Voted” sticker or even opening it up to everyone on demand. Not that we’re reporting anyone to the Federal Election Commission about it. Head out to these spots around Dallas to pick up freebies for voters. And thank you for turning up at the polls!
