BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Reconstruction work on South Washington Street and Burleigh Avenue is beginning to wind down toward completion, according to the Knife River Corporation. The company says work at the Washington Street - Santa Fe Ave intersection is 92 percent complete, with remaining work expected to finish next week. Knife River will be closing the London, or west, side of the Santa Fe - Washington intersection. This closure started today, October 25, and will remain until Monday, October 28. After this, the only concrete items remaining will be Warwick and South Victoria tie-ins as well as the inner, north half of the roundabout. The widening work along Burleigh Avenue is currently planned to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, October 29, with asphalt paving taking place Saturday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 29.
