Man killed in Thursday morning Baton Rouge shooting, police say

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Police said a man died from his injuries after a Thursday morning shooting in Baton Rouge.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said Carlis Sanders, 31, was found shot multiple times at an apartment in the 1300 block of Oriole Street near Scotland Avenue around 10:30 a.m.
He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said a motive and suspect are unknown at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner, 108 homicides have happened in the parish this year as of Oct. 21.
