Increasing showers for Big Island Friday, spreading to all islands this weekend

HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Showers will increase into Friday for Hawaii Island and Maui County, spreading state-wide this weekend. Some showers may be heavy, with isolated thunderstorms Sunday and Monday.
Tonight: Light trade winds continue. Expect isolated showers, especially windward and mauka.
Friday: More showers, especially east end of the state over Hawaii Island and East Maui. Drier conditions for Kauai and Oahu by comparison. Light trade winds become breezy later in the day.
Weekend: Breezy trade winds. Deep moisture brings more showers and potential thunderstorms, especially windward. Winter weather possible on Big Island summits. Showers heavier on Sunday.
Monday: Still breezy. Showers continue with the chance of isolated thunderstorms. Strong trades to 30 mph.
