NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — It was Taylor-mania at the Holiday Inn Swift Convention as fans enjoyed their last day before the big trio of concerts this weekend. To start the afternoon, fans were able to create their very own friendship bracelet inspired by one of Taylor's popular songs, "You're On Your Own, Kid" "She put out a song in 2022 that, in the bridge of the song, it said make the friendship bracelets, and you know some Swifties heard it and they started making them and trading them at concerts and venues," Olivia Richmond from Kansas City, MO. said. News with a Twist: The Big Tour These fans say being able to trade these bracelets and share those moments with each other is just one of the many reasons why the Swift fandom is so special. "I think it's really cool. I think it's something that we all share," Rowan Snyder from Honalulu said. "It's also, for me, a really easy way to connect with people. And you can just walk up with someone and be like, 'do you wanna trade?' And it's just an easy conversation starter," Skye Clarke from Honalulu said. Once everyone was done creating their bracelets, it was time to move onto trivia, where fans were able to put their Swift knowledge to the test. Whenever I get the lyrics right on a song, she gets them wrong, which makes her bad, but it's hilarious," Zaina Lynn from Abilene, TX said. "We have signed vinyls. We have the lover snow go, which is really hard to get. We have the the lover from Paris album, which is a vinyl that goes over $750. We have dolls and perfume that Taylor put out in 2017, so the average price range is like $350 to $400," convention organizer Rebecca Fox said.
