HONOULULU (KHON2) -- Shattered glass and broken windows are what several motorists who park their car along Ward Avenue woke up to on Thursday, Oct. 24 after a string of overnight smash-and-grabs. Get news on the go with KHON 2GO, KHON's morning podcast, every morning at 8 KHON2 spoke to a Gus Harrington, a victim who first thought all of the police vehicles along Ward Avenue meant his truck was getting a ticket when he first saw the presence from his girlfriend's apartment. "I was like, 'Oh no, I need to get down there.' And when I came out, yeah, found out that my car had been broken into, but then noticed that there were about ten other cars that also, their cars had been broken into," Harrington said. "But as soon as I'm done with work, I got to go home and put a bag on it and I can't get a collision inspection until Monday, so it'll be the whole weekend.
