Dispute between neighbors over dogs turns bloody in southeast Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A bloody dispute Thursday morning caught the attention of people in a southeast Bakersfield neighborhood.
Police were called for an initial report of a person being struck by a car, but it was the aftermath of a confrontation between neighbors.

It happened outside an apartment complex between East California Avenue and Clarendon Street at around 9 a.m. Police said an argument broke out over aggressive dogs involving two neighbors and their families.
A woman was assaulted and a juvenile was taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing and three dogs were to the Bakersfield Animal Care Center.
