ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Candidates in the 24th Congressional District squared off Thursday in a News 8 debate brought to you by the Rochester League of Women Voters. Incumbent Clauda Tenney (R) is being challenged by businessman and attorney David Wagenhauser (D). 24th District Congressional Debate - segment 1 The sprawling 24th district spans 12 counties from the North Country through Central New York and the Finger Lakes into parts of Niagara County in Western New York. 25th Congressional District Debate: Morelle vs Sadwick 24th District Congressional Debate - segment 2 Tenney was elected to the House in 2016 after serving in the New York State Assembly. She's an attorney and business owner who serves on the House Ways and Means, and Science, Space and Technology Committees. Wagenhauser worked as a public interest attorney and was a VP at his mother's health care agency. He also served as a village trustee in Brockport.
