VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man had criminal charges filed against him for allegedly vandalizing and battery of a street vendor and others in Visalia, the Tulare County District Attorney's Office said Thursday. The DA office announced that they filed criminal charges against 40-year-old Joshua Ryan Martino for vandalizing and using battery against a street vendor and others in Visalia. According to the DA, after reviewing police reports and other evidence submitted by the police department, prosecutors charged Martino with one count of felony vandalism and four misdemeanor counts of battery against four victims. The DA says that Martino pleaded not guilty at the arraignment on Thursday. Following the arraignment, he was released by the court on his own recognizance. A preliminary hearing setting is scheduled for Dec. 10, according to the DA. If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison, probation, and restitution.
