SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Drivers should be prepared for delays and detours due to a ramp closure on I-291 in Springfield Thursday night. Free public transportation in Massachusetts beginning Nov. 1 The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) crews will be inspecting the lighting of the ramp from Page Boulevard eastbound to I-291 eastbound (Exit 5) in Springfield. The roadway will be closed from 7:00 p.m. Thursday to 1:00 a.m. Friday. Signs and messaging will be in place to guide drivers.
