DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) – Deputies in southwest Colorado have arrested a 16-year-old after they say he stabbed his half-brother to death and beat his mother with a blunt object. The La Plata County Sheriff's Office said it happened Thursday morning in the Southwest Horizon Ranch subdivision southeast of Durango. 4th teen arrested in connection to 2023 Albuquerque murder They say they learned about it after a crash believed to be caused by the suspect as he fled. He was later arrested near the Rocket Pointe Apartments about six miles away. Authorities needed a taser to apprehend him.
