CUDAHY, Wis. (WFRV) — Two Wisconsin men were arrested Thursday morning following reports of gunfire near an elementary school. The Cudahy Police Department received multiple 911 calls around 5:00 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2024, reporting shots fired in the 3600 block of E. Iona Terrace in Cudahy. Wisconsin man indicted for brutal assault on Menominee Reservation, hospitalized woman for nearly a month Due to the proximity to JE Jones Elementary School, district officials delayed the start of the school day and notified parents. A preliminary investigation indicated that a 25-year-old West Allis man, who was one of the 911 callers, reported being shot at near the location. The investigation revealed the man had allegedly been damaging a vehicle owned by a 21-year-old Milwaukee man, who then fired multiple shots during the incident. Further inquiries found that the incident was related to domestic violence. The West Allis man was reportedly stalking a 25-year-old woman from Cudahy at the time. No injuries were reported. Both men were taken into custody, and a firearm was recovered at the scene. Charges are being referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for both individuals.
