CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 15-year-old juvenile was charged in connection to the death of another teen in September, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. On September 10th, Anthony Smith, 15, was found dead in south Charlotte on Silverleaf Road near Old Pineville Road. Smith died from a gunshot wound and his death was ruled a homicide. On Wednesday, October 23rd, investigators located and arrested a 15-year-old juvenile suspect. The juvenile was interviewed in Uptown and was later charged with murder. No further details were released. This case is still under an active investigation.
