WILLISTON, ND (KXNET) — Two men have been arrested in Williston for allegedly stealing a safe, filled with ammunition from a man's garage. According to the Williston Police Department, at about 12:52 p.m. on October 15, officers received a call about a theft of a safe that was missing from a garage in Williston. The owner of the safe said he kept ammunition inside. Officers arrived on scene and saw holes in the walls of the garage. A different officer who was on patrol in the area saw a glass smoking device inside a Ford F-150 pickup truck parked by a home in the 700 block of 28th Street West. He called for backup, and officers searched the truck, where they found two glass smoking devices with suspected methamphetamine residue, along with one or more BB guns, two Dewalt tools and batteries, and a safe matching the description of the one that was stolen. Man arrested in Williston after dispute leads to alleged assault Two men were placed under arrest, including Dalton John Gajewski, who lived at the place where the car was parked, and Jacob Lee Jensen, who was there with him. Both men said they saw each other stealing the tools, but told officers they were both at the garage for the theft. Gajewski was on probation, and was subject to a search of his home. Officers found rifles and ammunition inside, even though Gajewski was not allowed to have guns after he was convicted of a felony for methamphetamine possession earlier this year. Officers also found a stolen TV in the home. Jacob Jensen is facing four Class C felonies and a misdemeanor for burglary and theft of property. Close Thanks for signing up!
