BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Zachary (5-1) hosts Woodlawn (3-4) in a pivotal district 4-5A matchup Friday night at the Bronco Corral. The Panthers are coming off a win over Scotlandville and trying to build off that momentum under first-year head coach Scott Pellegrin. Before taking the job at Woodlawn, Pellegrin spent the past four seasons as the defensive coordinator at East Ascension. During his time at East Ascension, he's faced Zachary throughout the regular season. "He's (coach Pellegrin) always giving us problems," said Zachary head coach David Brewerton. "He just does a really good job of putting together a game plan to go against us, and I don't foresee any difference as far as that's concerned. They are a team that has continued to get better and better every week." No. 8 LSU visits No. 14 Texas A&M in a matchup of the last two teams undefeated in SEC play Zachary is 2-0 in district play and their only loss came in Week 2 on the road against Acadiana, 43-28. Since then, the Broncos offense has been rolling, averaging 36 points per game.
