Austin senior Marissa Shute will get one last run at the state cross country meet. Shute was Austin’s lone state qualifier as she finished in seventh place with a time of 19:38.2 at the Section 1AA meet in Faribault Thursday. This marks the fourth time that Shute has qualified for state. Nora Hanson of Red Wing took first with a time of 19:02.6. Austin junior Thomas Asmus missed out on state by 10 seconds as he finished in 13th place with a time of 17:14.5. Caleb Kevan of ZMKW was the last individual runner to qualify with a time of 17:04.5.
