WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A Rhode Island inmate who escaped from the ACI earlier this month is back in custody.
Joshua Torres, with a long criminal record, was arrested at a West Greenwich motel overnight.
Torres escaped on October 10, fleeing in a gray SUV.
The Rhode State Police found him at a Super 8 motel.
He’s a convicted felon serving time for burglary, robbery, and firearms charges.
No plea was entered, as his case moves to the Superior Court.
His bail was set at $30,000 due to his criminal history.
Torres faces a pre-arraignment conference in February.
