SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Thursday morning nine miles west of Sioux Falls. The Department of Public Safety says the driver of a motorcycle was traveling westbound on SD Highway 42 near mile marker 350. At the same time, a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on SD 42 and attempted to pass the vehicle in front of him by entering the westbound lane. While passing, the truck collided head-on with the approaching motorcycle. Penitentiary searches for new warden The driver of the motorcycle, a 56-year-old man from Hartford was pronounced dead at the scene. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
