For the first time in over three decades, the National Ballet of Ukraine is touring the U.S. and Orlando is one of their stops. The Ballet is traveling the country for the first time since the dissolution of the USSR, performing a program full of love and loss and including classics like “The Dying Swan,” “Don Quixote” and “Giselle.” Forty-four artists, including the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers, will perform in front of an LED screen depicting a “celebration of Ukrainian culture and resilience,” the ballet says. The tour aims to also support the war-torn nation as a portion of ticket proceeds will go towards Humanite, an organization working to restore the lives of Ukrainian families impacted b y the violence.
