SPEEDWAY One person was shot and killed in Speedway early Thursday morning. According to Speedway Police Department, around 12:14 a.m., officers were in the area of 1100 North Norfolk Street when officers heard several gunshots.Officers checked the area and located a white vehicle with multiple bullet holes on the passenger side of the vehicle. Further investigation led officers to find a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds inside the vehicles. Medics pronounced the victim deceased. The victim was identified as 28-year-old Lawrence D-Marcus Echols III Truitt.Police have not released suspect information but based on a police report, a handgun may have been located. There were also several witnesses on scene.
