Wisconsin man indicted for brutal assault on Menominee Reservation, hospitalized woman for nearly a month

NEOPIT, Wis. (WFRV) – A federal grand jury indicted 31-year-old Nee Gee Cloud of Neopit on Tuesday on charges of assault with intent to murder, burglary, and domestic abuse by a habitual offender.
The charges stem from a September 20, 2024, incident on the Menominee Indian Reservation, where Cloud allegedly assaulted a woman he was living with.

According to court documents, the assault involved stomping on the victim's head and neck, punching her in the face, kicking her torso, and slamming her face into the floor, causing serious injuries.

Some of the actions were reportedly recorded by an in-home camera system. The victim was hospitalized for nearly a month due to the extent of her injuries.
Cloud faces up to 40 years in prison and $750,000 in fines if convicted, along with possible supervised release and special assessments.
