Missing person report turns into arrest in Menasha for sexual assault of a child

MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in Menasha say a search warrant led to the arrest of one man on Wednesday for multiple charges related to the sexual assault of a child.
According to a release from the Menasha Police Department, officers conducted a search warrant on Wednesday at a home on the 300 block of Lopas Street.

The search warrant stems from an initial report of a child going missing after running away in June 2024.
As a result of the search warrant, Timothy J. Churchill was arrested on the following charges:
2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child
Possession of Child Pornography
Sexual Exploitation of a Child
The Menasha Police Department reports that this arrest was a result of a combined effort between themselves and the Canton Police Department in Illinois and Illinois's Fulton County Sheriff's Department.
Police say this is an isolated incident and all the people involved are known to each other. There is no danger to the community at this time.
