Event Date:  October 24, 2024 - 10:00am by Kelsey Penrose Sweet tooths rejoice — new treats are on the menu in Carson City. Dirty Dough Cookie Company is a national franchise, and local Carson City owner Rosy Flores is opening up shop at 2158 E. William St. According to Flores, Dirty Dough is a cookie company “known for indulgent, stuffed cookies that often feature multiple layers of flavor. The name Dirty Dough  reflects the brand's playful and fun approach to baking, embracing the messy, delicious, and unapologetically decadent nature of its treats.” This is a new endeavor for Flores, whose background is actually in criminal justice. She received her Bachelor’s in Project Management through WNC. However, she has always enjoyed baking, and wanted to bring something new to our area. Flores said Carson City is perfect for Dirty Dough because there aren’t many options for sweets. “Carson City is growing and a lot of our area travels to Reno to indulge in a sweet treat,” Flores said. “This was the best time to bring something fun and delicious to the area.” Dirty Dough offers a variety of cookies, including stuffed cookies with fillings like chocolate, caramel, or cream, alongside traditional flavors like chocolate chip and sugar cookies. “We also offer ice cream, milkshakes, and other dessert options, complementing the rich, bold flavors of their cookies,” Flores said. They’ll be opening their doors today, Thursday Oct. 24 beginning at 10 a.m. for the first day of their soft opening. A Grand Opening and ribbon cutting celebration is planned for Nov. 8. “We are excited to bring something new to Carson City and growing up in the area we figured it was a great time to bring something warm, fresh and new in,” Flores said.
