Springbrook Drive was shut down in College Hill near Springfield Township for hours for a large police investigation that ended with officers discovering three people dead inside a home.Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said in addition to the three people found dead, police found the suspect officers had been searching for was suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds. The three people found dead also had stab wounds, according to Theetge. That suspect was taken to the hospital, Theetge said. CPD said officers were called to the home in the 1000 block of Springbrook Drive just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday for "an unknown trouble at this location." When police arrived, they learned a man inside the home was armed with a knife; police negotiated with the man for hours before they were able to take him into custody and to the hospital. After the man was in police custody, CPD said officers entered the home and found three people dead. Police have not identified the victims, nor have they said what connection the man taken into police custody had to them or the home.
