SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The state and defense rested their cases in the Leilani Simon murder trial on Wednesday. In total, the jury heard from 33 witnesses ranging from FBI officials and local police detectives to Simon's brother and her then-boyfriend. The Chatham County mother, accused of killing her 20-month-old son Quinton and throwing his body in a dumpster, declined to testify.
