FRISCO, Colo. Crews have stopped the growth of a 1.3-acre fire burning west of Frisco, the U.S. Forest Service announced in a 7 p.m. update Wednesday.The Meadow Creek Fire, located north of Interstate 70 near exit 203, forced the closure of at least two trailheads in the area. The fire activity has diminished but smoke has begun to settle in the valley, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The agency warned that visibility may be impacted along I-70. Crews will continue to secure the fireline around the fire on Thursday. The U.S. Forest Service said the fire is under investigation but is believed to be human-caused. The Meadow Creek and North Tenmile trailheads remain closed Wednesday evening. This is a developing story and will be updated once we learn more.
