PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Hasbro is laying off dozens of employees as the Pawtucket-based toymaking and entertainment giant works to streamline its operations. 12 News confirmed Wednesday that Hasbro is cutting fewer than 100 jobs, roughly half of which are based in Rhode Island, through a restructuring plan. Hasbro is set to unveil its Q3 earnings in a conference call Thursday morning. Dan McKee and Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien, among other state leaders, have been in contact with Hasbro and are actively working to convince the company to stay.
