Two teens injured in late night shooting in Kalihi The passenger, a 13-year-old boy, was killed after the RTV veered off the roadway near the 72-1000 block of Puukala Road. The vehicle then hit a rock embankment and overturned. The teen was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Sgt. Thomas Koyanagi of the Hawaii Police Department said, "This type of vehicle is quite heavy. I believe the dry weight according to the manufacture is around 1900 lbs and it has a gross vehicle weight of about 3,000 so it's a rather large vehicle." He added that even though the vehicles have roll cages, they are not designed for high speeds or hills. "So they gotta remember that these have a higher center of gravity so if you do try to traverse up steep terrain or at an angle, you have a high probability of flipping over," Koyanagi continued. ‘Hawaiʻi is all about music, yet the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame has no home’ The eight-year-old sustained minor injuries.
